The Registrars of Voters will present a hybrid in-person and zoom presentation about Administering Elections & Best Practices in a Polarized Environment on Monday February 27th at 6 p.m. in the Cone Room in Town Hall. RTM members and members of the public are invited to attend the presentation which will be in lieu of the Registrars taking additional time at individual RTM District and Committee meetings before the March 13 RTM Meeting to discuss the election administration grants.

Greenwich’s Registrars of Voters, Fred DeCaro and Mary Hegarty, recently met with election officials from Centers of Election Excellence to share best practices in election administration. The Registrars will share highlights of these meetings. In addition, several guest election officials and program participants will make short presentations about their own experience with the grantor, CTCL. We hope hearing the facts from professionals who regularly interact with the grantor over many years will provide greater context and less speculation.
In anticipation of the March 13 RTM meeting, the Registrars’ presentation will also address questions that have been raised since the RTM first voted on the Center of Election Excellence grant in January. This is a wonderful opportunity for RTM Members and members of the public to learn first-hand some of the benefits for Greenwich’s election administration of participation in this non-partisan election administration program.
