REINVENTING AMERICAN DEMOCRACY FOR THE 21st CENTURY

Wednesday, January 13, 2021
5:30pm to 6:45 pm

A virtual presentation and discussion of the findings of the Commission on the Practice of Democratic Citizenship of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
 
Speakers are Stephen B. Heintz, CEO and Chairman of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Co-Chair of the Commission, and Dr. Norman Ornstein, Resident Scholar of the American Enterprise Institute.  Discussion to follow the presentation. 

Open to the public, no charge.  Zoom link will be sent to all registrants.

Youth Essay Contest

The League of Women Voters of Greenwich and its affiliate high school clubs announce the theme of its 2nd annual essay contest for Greenwich students in grades K-12.  In honor of America’s first female vice president, this year’s theme is “Dear Madam Vice President”. Students are encouraged to write a letter to Vice President Harris, sharing their stories, advice, and wishes.
